The XCEL Program was created as a national program in 2013. It consists of Levels named Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire. Bronze is the beginning level, and Xcel levels increase through to the Sapphire level, compatible with level 8-9 in USA Gymnastics Age Group Program. The XCEL silver team is a great introduction to the basic gymnastics skills needed to move onto higher level Xcel groups. Our silver team starts at age 9 and trains 4-5 hours a week. Routines are created to help the child excel to their strengths. This team practices two days a week and they attend 3 to 4 competitions a year.
There are six divisions in the Xcel program: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire. Our Xcel teams give gymnasts the chance to grow, compete, and have fun while performing routines that highlight their individual strengths. From Gold through Sapphire, athletes continue building confidence, learning advanced skills and expressing creativity. Each level challenges gymnasts to reach new goals in a positive and supportive environment that encourages progress at their own pace. This team practices 3 days a week(8-9 hours a week), this lower time commitment allows for girls in these levels to pursue other sports and interests while still competing in the sport of gymnastics. Typically these levels attend 6-8 competitions a year.
Our HUGS (Hope Unites Gymnastics with Special Athletes) program welcomes athletes of all abilities to experience the joy of gymnastics in a positive and encouraging environment. HUGS gymnasts train and compete through USA Gymnastics, focusing on personal growth, confidence, and fun. Each athlete is celebrated for their progress and passion for the sport as they build skills, friendships, and pride in their accomplishments.
