LEVEL 3
Head Coach: Dana Appleby

The Level 3 team is the beginning competitive team at ACPR. Girls on the Level 3 team are 6 years old and older and practice 3 days/week (9 ½ hours/week). On this team the girls learn the routines and skills required to compete in the USA Gymnastics Developmental program at Level 3. Girls spend much of their time gaining strength, flexibility and learning the Level 3 compulsory skills and routines. For most of the girls, it is their first more serious competitive experience and the girls are guided through that experience in a nurturing, supportive environment by our very experienced coaching staff. Level 3 girls typically go to 7 or 8 competitions per season with the goal of qualifying for and competing in the Maryland State Championships usually held in the spring. ACPR has a strong history in Maryland of competing at State Championships and routinely produces individual Maryland state champions and State Championship teams at Level 3.

LEVEL 4
Head Coach: Vicki Evans and Lindsay Steckel

On the level 4 team, girls 7 and older learn and compete the USA Gymnastics Development program Level 4 compulsory routines. Girls training on our Level 4 team train 3 to 4 days/week (aprox 11 to 14 hours/week). Usually, by the time girls have moved to this team they have developed a strong commitment to their sport as well as the desire and ability to pursue a more competitive gymnastics career. The mission of the Level 4 team is to prepare girls for success at Level 4 and to begin preparations for higher levels of competition. Level 4 girls train 4 days/week with the goal of competing at Level 5. Girls on the Level 4 team compete in approximately 7-8 competitions per season with the goal of qualifying for and competing in the Level 4 Maryland State Championships. ACPR has a strong history of success at this level and has produced many Level 4 state championship individuals and teams.

LEVEL 5
Head Coach: Vicki Evans and Lindsay Steckel

The Level 5 team is the highest compulsory team. Girls at level 5 train 4 days/week (14 hours) and compete in approximately 7-8 competitions per season (like the level 4’s). The mission of the Level 5 team is to train hard and to qualify to the level 5 State Championships while preparing for Optional level gymnastics. This level is a very difficult compulsory level, and the skills are progressive towards higher level skills. Girls will be well prepared for optional levels if they are successful at Level 5. The main goal of level 5 is to be successful and gained the skills needed to move up to the Optional teams.
